GENERAL INFORMATION

The Island of Eternal Spring Find out for yourself why this island is so special. Explore the culture of the friendly and colourful Canarian. The perfect climate and stunning scenery make Tenerife one of Europe's favourite holiday destinations.

Beaches

The volcanic nature and evolution of Tenerife have created just a few 'natural' beaches, all of a fine black shingle or sand. High quality, man made beaches are now plentiful. These are mainly around the major tourist resorts. Most have good access, meet stringent European standards of cleanliness and most offer shower facilities, sun beds, shades and water-sports.

Del Duque

Clean white sands and clear turquoise waters with a selection of top-end restaurants and bars. Peace and relaxation are the order of the day.

El Medano

El Medano and El Cabezo Bay and beach is a well known windsurfing hotspot amongst the windsurfing scene. The spot is particularly favoured by intermediate and advanced windsurfers
Fañabe

Works carried out along the coast have created sandy beaches, like Playa de Torviscas, Playa del Bobo, Playa del Duque and Fañabé. The next beach along is Playa del Bobo, where there is a windsurfing and sailing school. You can hire boards, sailing dinghies and catamarans.

Playa de las America

There are several golden-sand beaches along this stretch of coast, like Cuevitas and Playas de Troya, which are very popular for their dry, sunny climate. The beaches have changing rooms and showers. There are many bars, restaurants and terraces along the pedestrian promenade that has been built along this stretch of coast. Sun beds, pedal boats, pleasure craft and wet bikes can be rented. Several water sports are practiced, like wet biking, parasailing, etc.

Los Cristianos Beach

Beyond the Camisón point is Playa de las Vistas, which has been refurbished with sand from the sea bed, making it one of the best and longest beaches on the island. On all the beaches in this area you can hire sun beds, pedal boats and wet bikes. There are also many bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood of Playa de las Vistas.
